Hazardous Waste Disposal

Washington County Residents may dispose of their hazardous waste materials year round (on Mondays) at the Veolia Port Washington Facility (1275 Mineral Springs Drive).  New Fees (effective 1/1/21)  will be charged for all items on a per pound basis.  Call the Ozaukee County Household Hazardous Waste Hotline (262)243-8998 for more information.  Collections are held each Monday form 8am – 5pm.

Your continued participation in the Recycling Program helps the Town of Addison to keep recycling weights collected up, to qualify for a Recycling Grant from Wisconsin DNR. Please continue to recycle as you have in the past. Thank you for your cooperation.

Town of Addison 2021 Clean Up Schedule

Saturdays, January 2, April 3, July 10and October 9,  2021 - from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Town residents may bring tree brush, leaves, scrap iron, old metal appliances to
542 Main St., Allenton.  Additional fall dates may be added for leaf collection.

Town of Addison Recycling Program

Single Stream Collection

ALL ITEMS CAN BE PLACED IN THE SAME TRANSPARENT PLASTIC BAG WITH A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 30 GALLONS.  ALL ITEMS ARE TO BE RINSED CLEAN.

Acceptable items for single stream recycling include:

  • Cardboard
  • Paper
  • Newspaper
  • Food Boxes
  • Mail
  • Beverage Cans
  • Food Cans
  • Jugs
  • Jars (glass and plastic)
  • Plastic bottles #1 thru #7
  • Glass bottles

Cardboard should be cut into 2’x3’ pieces, bundled or tied.
Items that CANNOT be recycling single stream include:

  • Plastic grocery bags
  • Polystyrene (styrofoam)
  • Shredded paper
  • Diapers
  • Paper cups and food containers with a plastic coating
  • Wet paper
  • Aerosol cans
  • Boxes and containers with food waste and residue
  • Household glass
  • Ceramics and pottery
  • Hypodermic needles
  • Automotive parts & scrap metals
  • Yard Waste
  • Paint, pesticides, automotive fluids, diesel fuel, gasoline, kerosene & car batteries

Recycling pick-up is every other Tuesday. Have recycling at the curb by 6:45 a.m.
